🎬 What is the Filmabad Bootcamp?

The Filmabad Bootcamp is a 5-hour hands-on filmmaking experience — designed for anyone who's ever wanted to step onto a set and actually make something.

No lectures. No theory.
This isn’t a classroom. It’s your first real crew.

🕓What Happens from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Held at Daftarkhwan | DHA-1 Islamabad, this single-evening session is built like a real shoot — just compressed into one fast-paced, collaborative sprint.

Here’s what the evening looks like:

1. Two Film Crews:
   You’ll be split into teams. Roles are assigned via lucky draw or a quick rock-paper-scissors showdown — fun, spontaneous, and fair. Everyone gets an essential job.

2. Script in 30 Minutes:
   You’ll write a short 90-second film from scratch using group brainstorming and AI tools like ChatGPT. Stories are simple, emotional, and shootable in a single indoor location.

3. Shoot Begins:
   Each team rehearses, lights, shoots, and directs their short — just like a real crew would. Real actors. Real setups. Real tension (the good kind).

4. Wrap & Deliver:
   Once the session ends, all footage will be uploaded to Google Drive (or via WeTransfer). Anyone who wants to edit their version of the film can do so — and the best cuts will be featured on Filmabad’s website, Instagram, and other online platforms.

FILM GEAR WE WILL BE USING

At Filmabad Bootcamp, you'll work hands-on with professional-grade cinema equipment used in real productions. Our camera system is the fully rigged Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro, paired with a Sigma 18–35mm f/1.8 ART lens for cinematic depth and clarity. For audio, we use industry-standard tools including the Rode NTG5 shotgun mic, Zoom F6 field recorder, and Saramonic Pro wireless lavalier systems. Lighting is handled with precision using the Amaran 300c and Kino Flo units — trusted by professionals worldwide. The setup is further enhanced with Hollyland Mars 4K wireless video transmitters, a SmallRig wireless follow focus system, and essential rigging accessories for a complete on-set experience.

📝 Terms & Conditions — Filmabad Bootcamp

1. Registration & Payment

• Your seat is only confirmed after the full payment of PKR 5,000 has been made to the designated account and proof of payment (screenshot) has been sent via WhatsApp to 0333 5082303.

• Payments are non-refundable, except in the case of a complete cancellation by Filmabad. In all other cases, you will be offered an alternate date.

• If payment is not received within 24 hours of registration, your spot may be given to another participant.

2. Participant Requirements

• Participants must be 18 years or older. Minors may attend only with prior written consent from a parent/guardian.

• You must provide accurate personal information (full name, CNIC, contact details) at registration.

• You are expected to arrive on time and stay for the entire session (4:00 PM – 9:00 PM). Late arrivals may miss key segments and will not receive extra time.

3. Code of Conduct

• Respectful and professional behavior is expected toward instructors, crew, actors, and fellow participants.

• Any disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate removal from the Bootcamp without a refund.

• Use of illegal substances, harassment, or damage to property will lead to a permanent ban from all Filmabad activities.

4. Equipment Use

• Filmabad equipment must be handled with care.

• Any damage caused by negligence may require the participant to cover repair or replacement costs.

• If you bring your own gear, you are fully responsible for its safety and maintenance during the event.

5. Use of Footage

• Filmabad reserves the right to use behind-the-scenes photos, videos, and participant interviews for promotional, educational, and archival purposes.

• Participants will receive access to the raw footage from the session. You may edit and share your version publicly, but must credit “Filmabad Bootcamp” in all posts and publications.

6. Liability Waiver

• Filmabad and its team are not liable for any personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the event.

• Participants are responsible for their own safety, health, and belongings.

7. Schedule Changes & Cancellations

• Filmabad reserves the right to reschedule the Bootcamp if:

  • The minimum participant count is not met

  • The venue is unavailable

  • There are unavoidable operational or logistical issues

• All participants will be informed promptly and offered an alternate date.

• If Filmabad fully cancels the event, a full refund will be issued.

• In the event of a reschedule, no refunds will be given — only alternate dates offered.

8. Confidentiality & Set Etiquette

• Do not share unreleased footage, scripts, or sensitive production details online without Filmabad’s permission.

• Mobile phones must be on silent during filming.

9. Emergency Situations

• In the event of a medical emergency, Filmabad will assist to the best of its ability, but all participants should have personal medical coverage.
