Filmabad, a not-for-profit community initiative dedicated to nurturing emerging talent and celebrating groundbreaking artistic expression, invites passionate screenwriters to submit their original short film scripts (up to 10 minutes) for potential production. We are committed to discovering fresh, innovative, and culturally relevant narratives that have the potential to become award-winning films.
Submission Criteria
1. Originality & Freshness
Your script must offer a unique narrative that stands out in today’s film landscape. We’re looking for concepts that challenge conventions and showcase a distinct voice and vision.
2. Artistic & Cultural Relevance
Submissions should be emotionally engaging and reflect the kind of stories that provoke thought and contribute to cultural dialogue.
3. Low-Budget Production Feasibility
Your script should be crafted for low-budget production. This includes:
Minimal Cast & Limited Locations
Creative, Practical Storytelling Techniques
Keep production efficiency in mind without compromising on creativity.
4. Exceptional Dialogue & Narrative Structure
Dialogue should be impactful, purposeful, and revealing of character depth.
Narrative Structure should have a clear beginning, middle, and end with an engaging arc.
5. Genre Versatility & Innovation
We welcome a wide range of genres, including but not limited to:
Surreal Comedy
Intense Real Drama
Experimental Art-House
Magical Realism
Culturally Reflective Narratives
Any innovative genre that pushes creative boundaries and speaks to the moment

A. Script Preparation
Submit in PDF format
Ensure it reflects both creative excellence and production feasibility
B. Confidentiality & NDA
All submissions will be protected under a secure Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) signed electronically before review.
C. How to Submit

Include your name, contact details, and any optional notes about your concept.
Selection Process
Scripts will be reviewed by a panel of industry professionals based on:
Creativity & Originality
Narrative & Structural Strength
Quality of Dialogue
Production Feasibility
Overall Artistic Merit
The selected script will be produced by Filmabad, with full creative credit to the writer.
